Full Review
The Garmin Approach R10 changed the entry-level launch monitor market when it launched. Before the R10, getting a portable launch monitor that could power a real golf simulator cost at least $2,000. The R10 cut that price to $599 and delivered data that is accurate enough for most golfers to improve their game. It measures 12 shot data points including club head speed, ball speed, smash factor, launch angle, launch direction, spin rate, spin axis, apex height, carry distance, total distance, shot shape, and flight time. The R10 clips to your bag or sits on a tripod (sold separately) and connects to your phone or tablet via Bluetooth. It works with the Garmin Golf app, E6 Connect, GSPro, and WGT Golf. Setup takes about 5 minutes.
