Impact Screen Maintenance

The impact screen takes more abuse than any other component. Every shot that does not stop in a net hits the screen at high speed. The good news: modern impact screens are built to take this. The bad news: they still accumulate dirt, ball marks, and eventually small tears if neglected.

Monthly cleaning: Mix a small amount of dish soap (not degreaser) in warm water. Apply with a soft microfiber cloth using circular motions. Focus on the center impact zone where ball marks accumulate. Rinse the cloth and wipe again with clean water. Let the screen air dry completely before projecting onto it. Never use bleach, ammonia-based cleaners, or abrasive sponges; these break down the screen fiber over time.

Hitting Mat Maintenance

Launch Monitor Calibration and Care

Projector and Screen Alignment

Projector alignment drifts over time, particularly if the projector is ceiling-mounted and the mount settles slightly. Check your screen image quarterly: edges should align with the screen frame, and the image should not show keystone distortion. Most projectors have keystone correction in their menu. For persistent alignment drift, check that the ceiling mount is still firmly anchored.
